Sgt. Victor Gonzalez, a native of Pittsburg, Calif., and a member of the medical platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, observes several campers attending the Survival in Nature Together Camp as they prepare to evacuate a casualty on a litter during a community engagement visit to the camp held in Ergli, Latvia, July 17. Gonzalez and other Soldiers of the medical platoon participated in a community project by providing basic medical training to the children in association with the U.S. Embassy in Riga, Latvia.
