Basic medical training provided for Latvian survival campers

First Lt. Andrew Evans, a San Antonio, native and physicians assistant attached to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade, demonstrates how to stop the bleeding of a severe injury during a community engagement visit to the Survival in Nature Together Camp held in Ergli, Latvia, July 17. The camp is run and funded primarily by Maris Olte, a Latvian television personality and explorer, and provides nature experiences to youth from around the world. U.S. Army Soldiers from 173rd Airborne Brigade are deployed throughout Eastern Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing multinational partnership focused on joint training and security cooperation with U.S. Army allies.
