USS Ronald Reagan command officer, Capt. K.J. Norton addresses the ship's crew during a ceremony held on board in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Capt. Norton reminded Sailors of the impact of the attacks, and the effect it had on the country as well as the men and women in uniform. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
