    15th Marine Expeditionary Unit

    Distressed mariners wait to be rescued by U.S. Marines and Sailors with 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Essex Amphibious Ready Group aboard the USS Rushmore (LSD 47), at sea in the Makassar Strait, June 10, 2015. Sixty-five people were brought aboard Rushmore after it was discovered they were floating on bamboo rafts tied together with no means of propulsion.
