U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Peter Bodde provides an update to international donors about the U.S. government’s overall response and the interagency operation in Kathmandu, Nepal. “We are ready, the international community is ready. We have a tremendous level of cooperation. We want to do more, we’re ready to do more, and we have expertise and assets on the ground to do more.” U.S. military members along with the U.S. Agency for International Development and search and rescue teams from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Fairfax County, Virginia, came to the aid of Nepal after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck April 25.
