Maj. Gen. H. Michael Edwards, the adjutant general of Colorado, and Col. Laura Clellan, Land Component Commander for the Colorado Army National Guard, listen attentively to one of the survivors of Dachau Concentration Camp prior to the commemorative ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Dachau May 3. Members of these National Guard units participated in various ceremonies May 1-3, 2015, to honor the fallen and share the experience of the survivors and liberators. The 157th Infantry Regiment, one of the units that liberated the camp on April 29, 1945, initially mustered from the state of Colorado.
