Members of the Colorado and Oklahoma National Guard participated in various ceremonies May 1-3, 2015, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camp, Dachau. The 157th Infantry Regiment, one of the units that liberated the camp on April 29, 1945, initially mustered from the state of Colorado.
