The 7th CSC memorialized its headquarters building as the Brig. Gen. Richard J. Dirgins Army Reserve Center, named in honor of her late husband, a former commanding general of the 7th Army Reserve Command, the predecessor to the 7th CSC. The guest speaker for the ceremony was retired Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, the president of the Association of the United States Army, who served as the 32nd Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1993-1995. Sullivan was a college classmate of Richard Dirgins.
