Master Sgt. Derrek L. Steele and Col. Lance A. McDaniel admire the new 12th Marine Regiment logo March 2 at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The logo was created in honor of the chow hall being nominated for the Major General William Pendleton Thomas Hill Award. McDaniel, a native of Waco, Texas, is the commanding officer of 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Steele is the mess manager for the award winning 12th Marines Mess Hall. Steele, a native of Mt.
