    Commanding Officer of the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS Thach, Cmdr. David Haas, reads a speech in commemoration of the Battle of Midway during a wreath laying ceremony. Along with the wreath laying, the Sailors aboard Thach also held a burial at sea ceremony for Cmdr. Dale Simmons, a former wingman of the ship's namesake, Adm. Jimmy Thach. USS Thach is currently underway on a routine deployment to the Western Pacific.
