Sgt. 1st Class Jason Gangl, Task Force 34 Headquarters Catfish Air Non-commissioned Officer from Apple Valley, Minn., received a Meritorious Service Medal at an award ceremony on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on April 27. Awards were given by Col. Clay Brock, Task Force 34 Commander. The Meritorious Service Medal is given to those who have distinguished themselves by outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement in a designated combat theatre.
