Staff Sgt. David Wurzer, Headquarters and Support Company 834th Aviation Support Battalion Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic from St. Paul, Minn., received an Army Commendation Medal at an award ceremony on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on Apr. 28. Awards were given by Capt. Daniel Dobler, HSC 834th ASB Commander, and 1st Sgt. Craig Heggerston, HSC 834th ASB 1st Sgt. The Army Commendation Medal is awarded to Soldiers who distinguish themselves by an act of heroism, extraordinary achievement, or meritorious service which has been of mutual benefit to a friendly nation and the United States.
