British Royal Marines provide suppressive fire for advancing comrades in a simulated raid during the annual multinational exercise Bold Alligator, Nov. 7, 2014, on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Royal Marines were joined by Dutch marines, Canadian and Norwegian soldiers, and U.S. Marine aircraft in the assault on an urban-combat training facility occupied by U.S. Marines roleplaying as insurgents. Bold Alligator is a scenario-driven, simulation-supported, amphibious assault exercise and is the largest exercise held on the East Coast.
