Dutch marines maintain external security for an improvised command post at the end of a simulated, early-morning raid during the annual multinational exercise Bold Alligator, Nov. 7, 2014, on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Dutch marines reinforced British, Norwegian, and Canadian forces causing several members of the U.S. Marine oppositional forces to surrender in the face of superior numbers. Bold Alligator is a scenario-driven, simulation-supported, amphibious assault exercise and is the largest exercise held on the East Coast.
