A group of orphans spend playtime with a U.S. service member at the Djibouti baby orphanage on March 27. Service members assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - HOA Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, donate their time by visiting the facility and assist French nuns in feeding and caring for the more than 60 babies and toddlers cared for at the facility in Djibouti City. The service members of CJTF-HOA, headquartered in Djibouti, employ an indirect approach to counter violent extremism. Through a strategy of cooperative conflict prevention the task force helps build the internal capacities of countries at risk to prevail against extremists exploiting instability.
