Chris Hammond, former major league baseball pitcher, signs an autograph for U.S. Army Sgt. Ferdinand Guia, from Honolulu, Hawaii, at Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar, March 21. Hammond traveled overseas to show support for the U.S. military in the Middle East with four other former major baseball players: Turk Wendell, Jimmy Anderson, Steve Karsay and Dan Wilson. "This visit is awesome," said Guia. "It's like having a piece of home out here. The autographs are for my two sons. I want them to play baseball when they get a little older. Until then, I'll put the autographs in their rooms top help motivate them to play."
