Hammond traveled overseas to show support for the U.S. military in the Middle East with four other former major baseball players: Turk Wendell, Jimmy Anderson, Steve Karsay and Dan Wilson. "It's an honor to see people proud enough of us to come out here and visit," said McGeachy. "It shows we are appreciated back home."
