U.S. Army Sgt. Erica Self, from Sterling Heights, Mich., meets Dan Wilson, former major league baseball catcher, at Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar, March 21.Wilson played most of his career with the Seattle Mariners. He earned a reputation as one of the best defensive catchers in major league baseball history. Wilson traveled overseas to show support for the U.S. military in the Middle East with four other former major baseball players: Steve Karsay, Jimmy Anderson, Turk Wendell, and Chris Hammond.
