Edvardas Mazeikis, Lithuanian air force commander, upon his arrival to Šiauliai Air Base, Lithuania for a change of command ceremony April 30, 2014. The ceremony acknowledged the transfer of the Baltic Air Policing mission from the U.S. Air Force to the Polish air force and U.K. Royal Air Force. The U.S. maintained Lithuania's sovereign air space for the past four months, as part of the continual NATO mission to provide for the security of its members.
