A soldier in US Army ACU (Army Combat Uniform) digital camouflage is positioned behind a low concrete wall on what appears to be a rooftop, aiming a scoped semi-automatic rifle. The weapon appears to be an M14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) or similar designated marksman rifle fitted with a telescopic scope and bipod. The clear blue sky and arid environment suggest a Middle Eastern or desert operational theater.

Spc. Chad Marr, brigade sniper 1st Regiment 17th Infantry Division, provides roof top security during a free medical screening was held for the local populace of Mawali by Iraqi doctors and U.S. Forces. The screening brought much needed medical supplies and assistance to the people of Mawali. The deteriorated conditions of the roads, due to the rainy season, that lead in and out of town are impassible by civilian vehicles. That caused the local doctor, Taha Ahamed, to reach out and ask for assistance from U.S. Forces. Photo by Army Spc. L.C. Campbell, Photojournalist, 138 Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.
