Sgt. Brandon Kargol, a sniper team leader with 4th Brigade Combat Team looks down range and provides feed back to a sniper team zeroing a M110 sniper rifle. Kargol is part of a group of Division Soldiers helping validate Fort Bragg’s new 1,000-meter Sniper Field Fire Range, Oct. 16. The new automated range has targets that move side-to-side, targets that move at an angel and traditional “pop-up” targets. The validation will help officials improve the range simulations before the range opens in a few weeks. Sgt. 1st Class Mike Lewis, the division’s small arms gunner, said, the new range will help teach soldiers how to engage a moving target.
