A sniper team with 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division zero their rifle at Fort Bragg’s new 1,000-meter Sniper Field Fire Range, Oct. 16. This new automated rang has targets that move side-to-side and targets that move at an angel and traditional ‘pop-up” targets. . Sniper teams from the 82nd Airborne Division helped Fort Bragg range control validate the new range Oct. 16. The validation will help officials improve the range simulations before the range opens in a few weeks. Sgt. 1st Class Mike Lewis, the division’s small arms gunner, said, the new range will help teach soldiers how to engage a moving target.
