Sniper rifles stand ready at Fort Bragg’s new 1,000-meter Sniper Field Fire Range is a with targets that move side-to-side and targets that move at an angel and traditional ‘pop-up” targets. Sniper teams from the 82nd Airborne Division helped Fort Bragg range control validate the new range Oct. 16. The validation will help officials improve the range simulations before opening in a few weeks. Sgt. 1st Class Mike Lewis, the division’s small arms gunner, said, the new range will help teach soldiers how to engage a moving target.traditiona
