    • 21st TSC Best Squad Competition 2026

      The 21st Theater Sustainment Command hosts its 2026 Best Squad Competition at Grafenwoehr, Germany from 13 to 24 April. Teams representing all of the subordinate units of the TSC will compete against one another to build their warrior ethos and take home the prize of the 21st TSC's Best Squad. The winning team will go on to compete in the U.S. Army Europe and Africa's Best Squad Competition.

    • 111th Army Band Change of Command Ceremony

      The Hawaii Army National Guard's 111th Army Band held a change of command and retirement ceremony where Chief Warrant Officer 5 Curtis Y. Hiyane after 28 years in command of the unit and 43 years of service, relinquished command to Warrant OfficerClement K. Zhang.

      The 2025 MEDCoE Best Medic Challenge is from 1-4 December on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston and JBSA-Camp Bullis, Texas. .

    • Military support to Richard B. Cheney's funeral

      Joint Task Force-National Capital Region provided full military honors to the late Richard B. Cheney who passed away on Nov. 3, 2025. Cheney served as the 46th Vice President from 2001 to 2009 and 17th U.S. Secretary of Defense from 1989 to 1993.

    • Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Christopher J. Mahoney

      Marine Corps General Mahoney was sworn in as the 13th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on October 1, 2025. In this capacity, he is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the nation’s second highest-ranking military officer. Gen. Mahoney graduated from Holy Cross in June 1987. He completed The Basic School (TBS) and Infantry Officer Course (IOC) at Quantico, Virginia in 1988.
