Exercise African Lion 21 is a combined, joint exercise conducted in Morocco with related activities in Tunisia, Senegal, Italy, Spain and the United States. U.S. Army's Southern European Task Force, Africa, will establish the exercise’s combined joint task force headquarters, integrating U.S. Africa Command components and international partners to solve a complex, trans-regional crisis. Almost 2,000 U.S. Service Members will join about 3,000 troops from Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands in U.S. AFRICOM’s largest exercise to date.
The 321st Sustainment Brigade is currently supporting African Lion 2020. U.S. Army Africa participates regularly in exercises and training events involving small teams and robust units in Africa to strengthen partner networks and partner capacity, while providing opportunity to build the Army’s readiness. It is committed to being the partner of choice in Africa.
