Soldiers from Company A, 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment secure a perimeter outside of an Iraqi Police station in the Al Wasit Province. A part of Task Force Tomahawk, three battalions from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) were sent 600 kilometers away from their normal area of operations, Ninevah Province, to stabilize the Al Wasit area. Al Sadrs militia overran and destroyed several government buildings in the region. Since arriving to the area, the Stryker Brigade Soldiers have worked with the Iraqi Police and Iraqi National Guard to secure the area. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Fred Minnick)
