Marine Corps Installations East-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (MCIEAST-MCB), in partnership with the Montford Point Marine Association, hosts the 17th Annual Montford Point Marine Day Ceremony on Camp Gilbert H. Johnson, North Carolina, Aug. 28, 2026. MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the first African American men who enlisted and trained in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1949 by hosting this annual event.
