U.S. and French service members gather at the Eighth Air Force Memorial Site near La Fière Bridge, France, June 4, 2026, to honor the service and sacrifice of Eighth Air Force Airmen during World War II. The ceremony commemorated the legacy of the Eighth Air Force, which grew into the largest air armada in history and played a critical role in the Allied victory in Europe.
