The 374th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department hosted Fire Prevention Week at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 3–10. The week began with a kickoff event at the Sakura Shell and included a parade and visits by elementary school students to the Yokota Fire Department, concluding with the annual Firefighter Challenge. This year’s theme focused on lithium-ion battery safety, reminding the community to use, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries properly to reduce the risk of fires in homes and offices.
Airmen assigned to the 374th Airlift Wing, alongside participating tenant units, kicked off exercise Beverly Morning 26-1 at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 14-24.
