CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Air Commandos and their families gathered on Sept. 19, 2025 for Fall Fest, an Air Force Entertainment event that aims to build community and enhance morale across the installation.
The 27th Special Operations Wing partnered with Air Force Entertainment to host the Fall Fest concert. The festival featured live performances from nationally recognized artists 3OH!3, an electronic duo from Boulder, Colorado; Bryce Vine, an American singer-songwriter; and Andy Grammar, a multi-platinum recording artist. Each traveled to the Steadfast Line to perform for Air Commandos and their families.
In addition to music, Fall Fest offered a car show, food trucks, game stations, and interactive booths. Families sampled a wide variety of dining options while children enjoyed games and activities designed to create a family-friendly atmosphere.
Beyond the stage, the 27 SOW and Air Force Entertainment coordinated a meet-and-greet with the artists. Air Commandos and families had the opportunity to take photos and engage in conversations with the performers, creating lasting memories that extended far beyond the concert experience.
“It’s a nice reminder of who you’re doing this for,” Vine said. “People are raising families while they work hard to protect our country. It’s nice to be reminded of that and just meet good people and help them sweat out whatever they’re going through.”
Before the event, Grammar and his team toured Cannon’s aircraft, including the AC-130 Ghostrider and MC-130 Commando II, to learn more about the mission of Air Force Special Operations Command. The tour provided the performers a firsthand look at the specialized capabilities Air Commandos employ and the vital role the 27 SOW plays in Air Force Special Operations Command.
“I got to go see all the planes today, and I was just like, man, there’s so much knowledge here, so much expertise and so much training,” Grammer said. “The fact that I get to do even an ounce of trying to create better morale — that’s when I feel honored to be here.”
Fall Fest remains a highlight of the season’s festivities, improving the quality of life for Air Commandos and their families. Through morale initiatives that foster cohesion, the 27 SOW continues to build resilient Air Commandos and families prepared to meet the demands of the Department of War..
“I have a song called Save My Life that I dedicate at every base I go to,” Grammer said. “When I come around people who have this gift of protecting our country, I’m so grateful. They’ve saved my life, so that’s why I sing it for them.”
