Airmen, F-15E Strike Eagles, and F-15C Eagles assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing deployed to Łask Air Base and Krzesiny Air Base in Poland, in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, April 19, 2021.

OAR is a demonstration of the Liberty Wing’s commitment and resolve to NATO allies while working together on regional security and deterring potential adversaries. U.S. Air Force and Polish air force members will conduct training focused on maintaining joint readiness while building interoperability capabilities.

“The Liberty Wing is conducting agility training alongside our allies and partners,” said Lt. Col. Daniel “Bam” Etue, 48th Fighter Wing Agile Combat Employment lead. “Our goal is to always be ready with combat credible airpower for potential short or no-notice contingencies from locations with varying levels of capacity and support. Training with our joint and combined allies and partners is essential to the success of the ACE concept. Consistent high end training with our allies and friends increases our lethality, and enhances interoperability. These events posture our forces to counter military aggression and coercion by sharing responsibilities for our common defense.”

ACE within the Baltic airspace and surrounding nations is key to regional defense and stability. Collective training events enhance the ability of NATO forces to work together effectively to fight from varying locations and respond to any threats.

“Exercises and deployments that utilize ACE concepts ensure forces in Europe are ready to protect and defend partners, allies and U.S. interests at a moment’s notice,” said Col. Jason Camilletti, 48th Fighter Wing commander. “We will continue to maximize training like this to ensure the Liberty Wing remains always ready to own the skies.”
