(Sept. 16, 2026) Marine Corps Security Force Battalion (MCSFBn) Kings Bay, newly pinned Sailors and Marines stand at attention during a Chief Petty Officer pinning ceremony at MCSFBn Headquarters on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga., Sept. 16, 2026. During the ceremony, four U.S. Navy Sailors and two U.S. Marines were pinned to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Established on April 1, 1893, the rank of Chief Petty Officer represents a legacy of leadership, with the pinning ceremony marking the culmination of a six-week initiation of physical and leadership training symbolizing the transition to higher responsibility and commitment.
