    U.S. Army V Corps

    U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 109th Military Police Battalion and 734th Regional Support Group preside over the board portion of the 603rd Dark Knight competition at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 11, 2026. Competitors entered the room, greeted the board, stood for a uniform inspection, recited either the Soldier's Creed or the Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer and were seated to answer a series of questions from each of the five members of the board. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
