    U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, receive instructions on the order of events for the board portion of the 603rd Dark Knight competition at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 11, 2026. The board involved each of the 18 competing Soldiers appearing before a panel of senior leaders from the 109th Military Police Battalion and 734th Regional Support Group to answer questions about various Soldier tasks, programs and scenarios. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
