A U.S. Army Soldier assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, is recognized with an award during the closing ceremony of the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 11, 2026. The Dark Knight competition is a multi-day best squad competition that challenges Soldiers through events focused on physical fitness, marksmanship, medical skills, rucking and teamwork, testing their ability to perform as a cohesive team under demanding conditions. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
