U.S. Army Spc. James Wyman, a combat medic assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, receives the Knowledgeable Knight medal from 1st Sgt. Dustin Parham, also assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, at the awards ceremony for the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 11, 2026. The Knowledgeable Knight medal was awarded to the competitor who achieved the highest overall score on written examinations, military knowledge and tactical decision making by the end of the five-day Dark Knight competition. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
