U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Sahara Rodriguez, an expeditionary fuels technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, positions a fuel hose during forward arming and refueling point training with a Landing Craft Air Cushion with Assault Craft Unit 5, Naval Beach Group 1, Expeditionary Strike Group 3, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 9, 2026. This training validated I Marine Expeditionary Force and ACU-5’s ability to rapidly establish an LCAC-supported FARP as well as refine tactics for long-range operations in a contested environment, strengthening Navy-Marine Corps interoperability in support of distributed aviation operations.
