U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technicians assigned to EOD Mobile Unit 9 conduct a training evolution aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90) at Naval Base San Diego, July 23, 2026. This training provides EOD Technicians with a highly realistic maritime environment to hone their tactical skills while simultaneously enhancing the ship's overall force protection readiness and strengthening interoperability between surface and expeditionary forces.
