U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technicians assigned to EOD Mobile Unit 9 inspect and prepare gear and equipment during a training evolution aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90), July 23, 2026. This training provides EOD Technicians with a highly realistic maritime environment to hone their tactical skills while simultaneously enhancing the ship's overall force protection readiness and strengthening interoperability between surface and expeditionary forces.
