    (From left) Derek Tate, electrician, Rhett Bawden, electrical engineer, and Casey Thomas, electrician, all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District employees, work to configure and monitor hydraulic pressure sensors associated with the turbine governor system at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, Aug. 27. The configuration is part of ongoing modernization efforts at Ice Harbor, where three original turbine units installed in 1962 are being replaced with new, more fish-friendly turbines designed to maintain efficient hydropower generation while improving fish passage.
