    13th Marine Expeditionary Unit   

    A U.S. Navy Sailor assigned to Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), launches a U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, to execute a simulated expeditionary airstrike as part of routine training off the coast of California, July 24, 2026.
