    A U.S. Navy Sailor assigned to Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), directs a U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II pilot assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, for takeoff to execute an expeditionary airstrike training mission off the coast of California, Aug. 24, 2026.
