The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit was activated during a ceremony at William P.T. Hill Field, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 10. During the event the MEU Support Elements, comprising of the Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment; Air Combat Element, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 365 (Reinforced) and Combat Logistics Battalion 24 joined the Command Element on the parade deck with their equipment in a display of the 24th MEU's warfighting ability. After the display family of the Command Element and the MSEs were invited to get an up close shot at the equipment the 24th MEU is going to be using while deployed. (Corporal Andrew J.
