    U.S. Army V Corps

    U.S. Army Cpl. Dayanara Alvarado, a small arms and towed artillery repairer assigned to the 16th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, engages a drone using a Dronebuster device during a counter-unmanned aerial system training exercise at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, Aug. 27, 2026. The exercise contributed to NATO’s ongoing Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative meant to address the drone threat on the modern battlefield by increasing C-UAS capabilities at the Soldier level. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
