    Alexander Tkel, a mobile technical team trainer with Astrion, a defense technology and IT services company, explains the series of engagements that U.S. Army Soldiers will participate in during a counter-unmanned aerial system training exercise at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, Aug. 27, 2026. Each Soldier engaged a drone four times as it moved in various directions through the airspace. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
