A Coriolis unmanned aircraft system is prepared for flight operations on its launch rail during a multi-day Special User Demonstration at Orote Airfield on Naval Station Guam, June 24, 2026, to demonstrate runway-independent mission readiness for Valiant Shield 26. The 3d Multi-Domain Effects Battalion, 3d Multi-Domain Task Force, utilized the forward position to safely test, experiment, and exercise autonomous platforms to reinforce our position as a joint force within littoral maritime environments.
This staging operation was conducted in support of Valiant Shield 2026. Exercises like Valiant Shield allow Pacific Command Joint Forces the opportunity to integrate forces from all branches of service and with our allies to conduct precise, lethal, and overwhelming multi-axis, multi-domain effects that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the joint force and our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
