U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jordan Bautista, a fire control specialist assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, Long-Range Fires Battalion, 3d Multi-Domain Task Force, conducts an engine test on a Coriolis unmanned aircraft system during a multi-day Special User Demonstration at Orote Airfield on Naval Station Guam, June 22, 2026. This phase of technology experimentation, spearheaded by the 3d Multi-Domain Effects Battalion, serves to test current and new platforms to reinforce our position as a joint force while providing critical field feedback used to inform the future budget and acquisition process.
This engine test was conducted in support of Valiant Shield 2026. Exercises like Valiant Shield allow Pacific Command Joint Forces the opportunity to integrate forces from all branches of service and with our allies to conduct precise, lethal, and overwhelming multi-axis, multi-domain effects that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the joint force and our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
