A Coriolis unmanned aircraft system undergoes final system checks on its launcher during a multi-day Special User Demonstration at Orote Airfield on Naval Station Guam, June 24, 2026, to complete pre-launch diagnostics for Valiant Shield 2026. Validating these autonomous assets forward allows the 3d Multi-Domain Effects Battalion, 3d Multi-Domain Task Force, to more fully develop Combined Joint All-Domain Operations concepts through exercises and experimentation in the Pacific theater.
This diagnostic check was conducted in support of Valiant Shield 2026. Exercises like Valiant Shield allow Pacific Command Joint Forces the opportunity to integrate forces from all branches of service and with our allies to conduct precise, lethal, and overwhelming multi-axis, multi-domain effects that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the joint force and our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
