U.S. Army combat engineers, assigned to the 70th Clearance Company, 84th Engineer Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, and contractors from Hornback Offshore Services offload vehicles from aboard the HOS Resolution during an autonomous vessel capabilities demonstration off the shore of the Island of Hawaii, Aug. 18, 2026. The demonstration gave Army mariners the opportunity to see and test the semi-autonomous vessel, and gain insight on autonomous maritime capabilities within the Indo-pacific area of responsibility.
