LTC Bruce W. Barnes, Commander of the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion, was selected by The Surgeon General to receive the Army 9A Proficiency Designator. LTC Barnes assumed command of the Battalion in May of 2026 after a career that has included operational assignments, combat service, medical research, graduate education and medical recruiting.
